On Thursday June 20th flood waters breached the banks of the Highwood River in my hometown of High River, Alberta. Within only a few hours our dry, fully functioning town had been almost completely consumed by the river. Power, landlines, internet and cell service ceased. A mandatory evacuation was set for all High River residents.

Thankfully we have an amazing support system of family and were able to take ourselves and our pets (with the exception of many fish) to higher ground. Emergency crews and the military are working diligently to restore accessibility, power, utilities, phones, gas, etc. so we can get back to our homes and assess the damage. Aerial chopper footage of my area seemed to indicate that my home was one of the few lucky ones. I look forward to getting back to it & feeding my fish!

I create and ship all of my artwork from my home studio so there will be some delays. Please know that all orders I have received since Wednesday will ship immediately upon my return home (hopefully Friday June 28th) I thank you all so much for your patience and understanding!

My heart goes out to all of those affected by this disaster and is warmed by the outpouring of love and support. The tremendous power of the human spirit continues to awe and inspire me
