It’s been 8 months since my last painting…
Eight. Whole. Months.
I used to paint every day, all day and when I wasn’t painting I was hawking my wares at local art events and tradeshows- oh, how I’ve missed it! I was so glad to get back to my easel, palettes, brushes and creative accoutrements. Spent a lot of time searching for long lost supplies (found a lot of my paints had dried up), re-organizing my art space and generally just banging off the rust. It’s like riding a bike…right? Anyway, I did manage to finish my first post-baby painting and the inaugural piece of 2018! I’ve also switched from PC to a Mac so fumbling my way through all the different processes for scanning, editing and documenting images has been just that…a fumble. But I strive to fumble in spectacular fashion and/or at least have fun doing it. *gulps wine*
Aside from a few Christmas commissions, this guy was the last painting to emerge from my studio waaay back in October 2017 “Tantrum”
He enjoyed a 2 month long showing in Okotoks’ “Art In The Hall” exhibit where he sold and went on to his forever home =) Being one of my personal favorites, I had a metallic print made up and it’s currently hanging in my studio.
