2 months into the year, seven paintings in and 20+ digital mash ups! Still experimenting with lots of new things and loving the journey. I am normally a fairly tidy painter, meaning: I don’t wear a smock, apron or painting clothes. BUT this most recent painting cost me a pair of pants. Tough to paint in an orderly fashion when you are literally using every color in the studio! Brushes, palettes & paint EVERYWHERE!
Water is such a beautiful metaphor for life. Incredibly powerful and yet infinitely gentle; it always finds a way, nourishing everything along its path.

More experimentation with digital edits! The background is a photo I took (I love rainbows/reflections/iridescence) overlapped digitally with a scrollwork motif painted in acrylic. (Henceforth known as “Digital Mash Ups” or DMU) ;)
