Odyssey, Autumn & Wordsmithing!

Art/painting is a visual expression often used when words do not suffice. I usually like the art to be open to interpretation. More and more I’ve been wanting to further define and enhance my paintings with a short poem (the art of wordsmithing!) about what it means to me. 

Would I ascend the spiral staircase and chase the horizon,

Or journey within to see what’s inside me?

Would I reign in the shadows of never-ending nights,

Or sprinkle it with embers of undying light?

Betwixt the blossoms and the frost,

Fragrant Autumn leaves are lost.

Seeds are nestled in the earth,

In preparation for Spring’s rebirth.

The surface withers but down below,

Primordial and enduring, the essence flows.
