August Art Summery, New Art, Shows & More!

As nice as summer holidays are, I cant WAIT to get back to a regular routine! I should have more studio time come September and I cant wait to see what kind of productivity it will yield =)

August was another busy month for shows. I did the Turner Valley Arts Festival which was awesome! (I got my face painted!)

The Nanton and High River Farmers Markets as well as the weekly Art in the Park events. Met lots of new people and saw several familiar faces, thanks so much to everyone who came out and made all the events so successful

I don’t get much studio time over the summer but in between commission projects I did manage to squeeze in an iconic portrait! #11 in the series, the undeniably intoxicating Madonna in “Breathless”

…and she is currently up for auction! For more details or to perhaps place a bid, click here.

For all you hobbyists and taggers, the creative cats over at CDO have just released a new image tube package featuring some of my most popular images!

These “tubes”, made from my original paintings, come ready for you to use in your own artistic endeavors! Profile pictures, banners, avatars, cover photos etc!

Halloween is fast approaching and I have already put a few things up! I will be busy listing Halloween themed prints several times weekly so be sure to check back often

I have been listing rare auction items exclusive to my Facebook fans including original sketches and one of a kind goodies! Check out whats currently up for bids!

My Facebook page is the best place to get all the latest news, updates, work in progress pics, events & appearances as well as fan exclusive sales and offers!

I finally finished my donation piece for the Highwood Museum! This one was totally out of my comfort zone and that was readily apparent in my level of productivity. It was a challenge, it took a long time and I easily spent more time staring at it wondering what to do than I did actually painting it. I almost gave up a couple times…but I persevered and am very happy with the result =)

You can bid on the original framed piece through the Museum of the Highwood call: 403-652-7156 or visit: 4th Ave & 1st St W High River, Ab. Fine art prints of this piece are available in my Etsy shop!

Ive got my next several Iconic Portraits all sketched out and ready for the canvas so you can expect to see a few new ones throughout September. Im also working on something in my traditional style, half naked and badass! But most importantly, I cant wait to get started on some new HALLOWEEN stuff!!! Keep an eye out on Facebook for the latest!

I signed up for yet another Art Festival, trying to get my fix while the weather is still nice! This is a big one and its going to be smashing good fun! Ive got a few confirmed dates for September and I will likely add another farmers market to the roster later on…heres whats happening:

September 6th, 2012-High River Farmers Market
September 15th & 16th, 2012-Mountainview Arts Festival
September 28th & 29th, 2012-Alberta Arts Days

For a full list of events and appearances visit the biography section of my facebook page and click “see more”.

One final note! I know its early, but you cant get started on these soon enough! Just want let everyone know that my Christmas Commission portrait window is now open! These make AWESOME one of a kind gifts! Realism portraits or fantasy portraits, I will work with you to create something very special
You can see some examples of my work here.

These start at just $1 per square inch and I go as small as 5x7 that means you can get custom original art for as little as $35! I did 10 commission portraits in December alone last year so please know that these fill up fast! Its nice to have lots of time to get these through the crazy Christmas postal service so start thinking about it now! Message me for details =)
