My Name is Natalie VonRaven, I am a lifelong artist dabbling in many creative pursuits- but mostly, I paint!
 
My favorite color is VIVID and acrylic is my usual medium. I like to capture the most important qualities of a subject and accentuate them, contentedly dubbing this style “Quintessential-ism”. Beautiful, uplifting, thought provoking elements make their way into every work of art- Sass and humor are also frequent by-products.
 
Painting full time for over 17 years, more than 900 original paintings have emerged; the majority of which hang in private, public and corporate collections throughout the world.
 
Hailing from Alberta, Canada, (sorry) I work from my home studio in the Foothills where I dwell with my husband, sons, cats and "dog".


ARTIST STATEMENT

Ridiculously cute is the goal. Capturing the most important elements of a subject and accentuating them. “Quintessentialism”. I strive to layer in metaphorical undertones so there is always something new to discover and decipher.
 
Inspirations are everywhere! Moods & ‘tudes, cute critters (obviously), anecdotes, contrasts, puns, insights, current events, dreamy vistas, etc. The endgame is hopefully something captivating which inspires you to snicker, reflect or say AWW.

·      I hate burpees but every time I whine about them, I make myself do some
·      Coffee is my crutch
·      Cute critters and avocado rolls are my kryptonite
·      I like brobdingnagian words
