Spent a few weeks working on a Viking shield! Too cold to work outside so the whole messy process happened indoors. I am still picking shards of melted iron out of my carpet… This was my first attempt so the design evolved as I went, lots of learning along the way. It certainly won’t win any awards for “lightest shield” but I think it’s pretty sturdy.
