Odyssey, Autumn & Wordsmithing!

Art/painting is a visual expression often used when words do not suffice. I usually like the art to be open to interpretation. More and more I’ve been wanting to further define and enhance my paintings with a short poem (the art of wordsmithing!) about what it means to me. 

Would I ascend the spiral staircase and chase the horizon,

Or journey within to see what’s inside me?

Would I reign in the shadows of never-ending nights,

Or sprinkle it with embers of undying light?

Fragrant Autumn leaves are lost.

Seeds are nestled in the earth,

In preparation for Spring’s rebirth.

The surface withers but down below,

Primordial and enduring, the essence flows.

Art of Nature, WIP & Shows!

 Nature is the creator’s canvas, the magnum opus. A painting is the artists flower, the ultimate expression in full bloom. The fruition of thoughts and inspirations. No one knows where inspiration comes from, just as no one knows where nature comes from. I don’t believe it is possible to KNOW, all we can do is theorize, dream and believe. 

Writing on the water,

Building castles in the sand-

Presence, presents…

Understand.

 

Everything is temporary, and there is beauty in that. 

Don’t build your life, your dreams, or your happiness on fragile, unattainable or fleeting things. Live in the moment, appreciate the gift of every moment. 

Understand this, understand yourself and strive to be understanding towards others.

 

Beautiful nature, beautiful art, beautiful expression. Each color is represented here because the spectrum is beautiful in its entirety. Wholeness, the oneness of which we are all a part.
