Liberty 2.0 & Graffiti Ghosts!

 So… I finally finished the Statue of Liberty! It was big, and cumbersome and A LOT of work! But I didn’t kick this one and I’m kinda proud of that – I must be growing up! Then I did a series of Ghostbuster stuff, graffiti style - so maybe scratch that bit about growing up =)

Weathered, worn, tarnished… but still a steadfast beacon of hope- “Liberty Will Cu Through” The title is a play on words, Cu is the symbol for copper on the periodic table and that’s what she’s made of! So it’s “Cu” instead of “see you”.

After that challenging project, I decided I needed another one! I bought an embossed red brick panel so I could create a new painting for my rec room. It’s going to be a big, weird, graffiti style cityscape. But distractions happened and I ended up making these instead!

Captivating Caterpillar, Angry Beaver & Feisty Fowl!

Busy month here in the studio, 7 paintings completed sofar in 2021! I’ve been inspired with a few of my own ideas and also had the opportunity to delve back in to some realism portraits. Furthermore, after a long, strenuous argument with myself, I decided to take another stab at the Statue of Liberty… So, basically, I’ve exercised all of my artistic muscles!
