Had a ball with these colorful critters! Quite the fiasco actually… my easel got knocked over (it was just in the way anyways) my paint case toppled off the desk (I meant to do that) & I made a huge mess splattering paint on everything including myself and my pets. It was AWESOME! I’ve had these guys sketched out for a while and it was nice to get them onto the canvas.

This one was a prototype for what will hopefully be a much larger piece! I need some new wall décor in my throne room so a 24x48 might be on the horizon! =) 

But for now, this 11x14 would love to take you out of the darkness and into the light…

Rainbow Flourishes & Exasperated Owl!

Alberta is open for summer and I for one am THRILLED! Car shows, art shows, live music, food trucks, rides, crowds, faces… it’s wonderful to experience it all again! I usually paint live at the art shows so I’ve got a few new pieces to share =)

Big outdoor show last weekend and I was all prepped to survive the forecasted record breaking heat. Last minute, in true Alberta fashion, the weather fickly threatened severe thunderstorms… GAH! I was feeling a bit butt hurt and so I sketched this guy out the night before…thankfully, the weather decided to cooperate and it ended up being a fabulous day! …but I painted this grumpus anyway =)
